The Broken Earth Trilogy (Paperback)

Regular price $49.99

This is all three books in NK Jemisin's The Broken Earth Trilogy. It would be a great gift for any occasion and includes The Fifth Season, The Obelisk Gate, and The Stone Sky.
Check out this booktube review of the first book of the series, The Fifth Season:

This is the way the world ends for the last time...

A season of endings has begun. It starts with the great red rift across the heart of the world's sole continent, spewing ash that blots out the sun. It starts with death, with a murdered son and a missing daughter. It starts with betrayal, and long dormant wounds rising up to fester.

This is the Stillness, a land long familiar with catastrophe, where the power of the earth is wielded as a weapon. And where there is no mercy.

Love supporting a black owned business

Super happy that I was able to buy The Broken Earth Trilogy from a black woman owned business. I haven't started reading the books yet but I'm just happy that I got to support both the store and a black author with my purchase. Also the books came with a cool bookmark and a really nice hand written note which brought me a lot of joy. Thank you!

these books are a serious inquiry into the concepts of slavery, not race based slavery but slavery based on traits that can both help and endanger the people of the world the author creates. these books will require the reader to ask deep moral and ethical questions about right and wrong. this will challenge the reader to confront serious dilemmas about what a society can and can not do about people who are different, very different, despite looking just like others. i'm glad i read it.

Can't recommend enough

I don't remember the last time I made it through a trilogy so quickly and wanted to started rereading before even finishing. Worth the read all the way to the end, the payoff and world-building in Stone Sky ties all the threads together brilliantly. Fifth Season is masterful character-building. Obelisk Gate really tackles sense of belonging and community/family. All wrapped in a deliciously detailed world with dynamic people.
